Biography Highlight
Wang Maorun, male, Han nationality, is a native of Rongcheng, Shandong Province. He was born in 1936, joined the PLA in 1951 and the CPC in 1956 and graduated from the PLA Military Academy in 1985.
Wang spent his entire career in the PLA. He began as a staff officer in the Qingdao Garrison and rose through the ranks to become deputy political commissar. In 1985, he became secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, PLA Lanzhou Military Region He was promoted to the rank of general in 1998.
Wang was a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee.
